BIOGRAPHY
During the years 1994-2000 I studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, where I also took my BA in Art Theory 2003. 2001 I exhibited at Sharjah International Art Biennale in AEU. The same year I was represented at Aleppo international Woman’s Art Festival in Syria. In 2002 and 2004 I took part at Asian Art Biennale in Bangladesh as an observer. In a seminar with the theme: “Duality in Asian Art - the ethnic and the global” (2004) I delivered a talk on cultural meetings. 2001-2006 I initiated and worked for an art project with the title “Voices Void”. This Syrian-Danish art project should result in exhibitions i Damascus and Copenhagen with workshops and conferences under the theme “the religious picture”. During the last year I have been involved in a “Workshop and Exhibition Space for Experimenting Art”. Together with the artist Anne Sophie Bosc, I arranged and participated in 2007 in an ongoing workshop, with the themes “relation”, “integration” and “the religious picture”. Just now I have written an article: “to step out an in of the veil” for a Danish young teachers' magazine (UP), with the theme: “Them and us - exoticism in the school”. Since 2004 I have been part of a dialogue group started in Islamic-Christian Study Centre. In 2009 I curated the exhibition and reading arrangement “Take Amay” at the integration day at Frederiksberg Rådhus. I have received different grants from private and state foundations.
